Best Pastries in Monterey

Best Pastries in Monterey

Since 1996, Parker-Lusseau has been serving up extraordinary pastries, desserts, and wedding cakes in Monterey.  Chefs Anne Parker Johnson and Yann Lusseau met in Belgium and were married in 1991.  Everything is baked fresh daily at the main Munras location and sold there as two additional locations.

I’m frequently in the Monterey area to teach high performance driving for the BMW Club and Porsche Club at Laguna Seca.  Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to sample many of the restaurants in the area.  Parker-Lusseau is now a “must visit” whenever we are in the area.

Shown are the Almond Croissant, Plain Croissant, Thin Apple Galette, and Pithivier.  The croissants are light and flaky with a crisp exterior, and among the best I have had outside of France.  They also have a number of cakes, tarts, and cookies.  Their menu is here.  Very highly recommended!

Almond croissant and a walk at Point Lobos! Definitely a must-indulge treat! Thank you!
